Description:
BSA Martini Henry 1882 Mk III rifle issued to the NSW Navy or Naval Brigade, butt marked NSW NAV 368/96. Fair to good original condition overall, no splits in woodwork or large corrosion pits, barrel is a bit frosty but with good strong rifling. Hasn’t been sanded, wire brushed or otherwise molested. There is no serial number under the rear sight, but the proof number under the barrel matches the receiver. Original clearing rod, also not numbered. I’ve shot this a few times at our local range and it always attracts a good deal of attention. Obsolete calibre, registration not required in NSW.
