Colt Lightning medium frame Rifle 44-40 short magazine

This is a nice example of the unusual short magazine, round barrel early Colt Lightning rifle in 44-40. According to the Colt website this rifle was manufactured in 1893.
The bluing has thinned somewhat, all the wood is in beautiful condition and the foregrip has beautiful checkering showing nil or very little wear.
Ive put less than 40 rounds through it since I got it from my Father 40 years ago.
Last time I fired it was about 7 years ago and it worked perfectly.

This would be a great rifle for the black powder category, because of the slide action I believe it can be loaded quicker that a lever action rifle.
