Description:
Savage 110S, Series J. A piece of history. One of five imported by Owens Guns in Gympie. Featured in Lock Stock & Barrel magazine Edition 2 Nov/Dec 1981. Six page article by Ron Peterson. Made by Savage for the burgeoning [at the time] Silhouette discipline. Stippled walnut “Wundhammer” stock with left and right palm swells, 560mm heavy barrel with 1 in 9.5 twist. 4 shot blind magazine for offhand shooting. Silky smooth action, bright shiny barrel, strong rifling. Fired maybe 500 rounds. Scope mounts. Has been bedded at some stage, maybe from the factory. Safe queen after the article, safe queen while I have had it. Butt pad has deteriorated and there are some minor marks on the timber. Beautiful rifle but my safes are full and need to make room. Magazine with article included. Buyer pays transfer and freight. $1250
