Description:
1914 production Spanish Mauser Model 1895 carbine.
Serial # C8715
Matching numbers on receiver, bottom metal & magazine cover, mismatched bolt.
Manufactured at the Oviedo Arsenal with the crest still visible on the receiver.
Rebarrelled from 7x57mm to 7.62x51mm/.308".
Receiver never been drilled & tapped so as per Arsenal specifications.
Wood appears to have been refinished previously, has minor dents & dings.
Metalwork in good condition for its age, some wearing to bluing.
Bore reasonable, probably 7/10
All correct fitments, nose cap & sling swivels present.
Overall, fair to good condition for its age.
Currently a safe queen so selling to fund other projects.
$800 including freight to transferring dealer on the East Coast Will also include 100 deprimed 7.62x51mm brass.
