T/C Contender Super 14

Description:

Rare variant of the Contender pistol. This is the 14 inch bull barrel in 22long rifle. Equipped with the original factory open sights it now has a EGW weaver rail fitted to allow any modern mounts to be used for red dot or telescopic sights( rear sight supplied). The reciever is the G1 with engraved mountain lion and the easy open action from the factory. The grip and forend are Pachmayr Signature steel reinforced rubber type. The hammer has a cross-bolt safety and selection of the rimfire/ centrefire firing pins via a screw in the hammer face. Being the G1 action it will accept all barrels (not Encore). Also generally these have a better trigger, with no creep or over travel and 3 pound weight. The blueing is is better than 98% but strictly by definition is not excellent. Nevertheless it is very difficult to see any wear or marks. From memory I believe it was manufactured in the first half of 1983. Absolutely no issues with functioning and high quality appearance.
