Colt SP1 AR15 .223 circa 1979 (by serial number reference)

I’m a former licensed firearms dealer and acquired this Colt during an Amnesty period, had it registered, and then added it to my collection.

It’s complete, operational and in very, very good (perhaps excellent) condition. Comes with the original owners manual, cleaning kit, and 3 magazines. All 3 magazines are stamped Colt, but perhaps only the matching 2 came with the firearm, or the single one.

It’s highly likely this Colt was imported into Australia legally in the early 1980’s when it was allowable to do so and sold through a gun shop. Subsequently, not handed in during the original buy-back in 1997, and later surrendered during an Amnesty.

I’m selling, as I’m cutting back on my collection in semi-retirement.

Inspection can be organised at a suitable south-east Queensland Dealer, but only with Cat D license holders.

Transfer by PTA at an agreed firearms dealer in south-east Queensland.
Otherwise, interstate or regional Queensland + $100 transfer/freight to your local firearms dealer (except WA, it’s just too hard).
