Description:
Savage No4 Mk1 (SMLE) .303
Manufactured in 1942 by (Stevens) Savage under the United States "Lend Lease" agreement with the Allies.
Has a unique flat/vertical receiver with "US PROPERTY" cast into it.
Matching Receiver, Bolt and Magazine numbers (not that common).
Military reference 23BW 12/59 stamped into the stock.
Adjustable rear flip sight.
Reasonably good 2-groove rifling.
Comes with oil bottle and pull through cord.
There are not many of these SMLE rifles in circulation.
It’s been in my possession for about 12 years as a collector rifle, and rarely used.
Registered on QLD License 15324072
$950 with Queensland PTA brokered at an agreed dealer in S/E QLD. Otherwise + $100 transferred to your local firearms dealer (except WA, it's just too hard these days).
