To be an influencer you need new products to push - but old Sam won’t do that because he thinks modern scopes are mostly junk.

Bar one ezine about old German guns, you won’t even see his book reviewed in magazines (it pees in their advertisers' soup - and even bad reviews give publicity they’d rather not help with).
