Description:
Lithgow SMLE Mk III* converted to carbine. Very good professional looking job.
Matching serial numbers.
Blueing is in very good condition.
Some minor scratches on stock.
Patch of corrosion on Butt plate.
Rifling defined but pitting throughout.
Barrel length is 470mm.
At 50 Mtrs & 1956 ammo, 10 shot group was only 4 1/2”
Best 8 shots of 10 was a 3” group.
I would sell the firearm without the timber stock at the same price.
I dont have the equipment to photograph the inside of the barrel.
