Merkel Drilling Left Hand

Perfect condition and extremely rare, left hand Merkel Drilling. Manufactured December 1982. 12g x 12g x 222 Remington. Exceptional colour case hardening to the receiver. Deep rust blue to barrels and all other metalwork, also in perfect condition. Stock has been custom made using a lovely piece of figured walnut, with absolutely no marks. Also comes with original right hand stock which has been wrapped in bubble wrap for 20 years, and is also in perfect condition. This could be easily refitted if desired. There is a lever on the wrist tang to operate the rifle barrel. When engaged, it automatically raises the rear rifle sight. At the same time it converts the front trigger to a set trigger to fire the 222 Remington barrel. It also has a Zeiss 1.8-5.5x38 scope fitted in a ultra low mount. Most drillings have their scopes mounted very high. This mount was custom made by a German gunsmith many years ago, to have perfect cheek support on the stock. Also with this drilling is a Reineke quick adjustable leather sling, and a beautifully made traditional leather scope carrying case.
