Description:
Selling my CVA Hunter .243 single shot rifle. These are made in Spain by Bergara and are identical to the Bergara BA13 single shot rifles.
Awesome bit of kit, shoots like the proverbial laser beam and with the 22” barrel super handy. Matt blued finish and synthetic stocks make it pretty hard wearing and tough.
Very simple and straight forward rifle means it is ideal and safe for learning. Also a fantastic truck or quad rifle. Purchased as a step up from a .223 single shot and used by my boys when learning but they’ve now graduated to their own rifles so this is surplus to my requirements as I have two 6mm Remington rifles. The 243/6mm round is a nice step up from the 223 and the medium weight barrel means it can be used for repeated shots before grouping starts to wander.
Comes fitted with the one piece base shown (a Talley?) or I can supply a weaver style base and rings if wanted. I used it with the Burris Fullfield I’ve also got listed and also a Leupold 3.5-10, both of which were ideal. Happy to do a deal on either of these scopes and the rifle.
Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just won’t get any use now as I’ve got plenty of others to choose from. However I’m happy to trade for a Bergara take down single shot in 44 magnum or 357 magnum (or 45/70 I guess) as I’ve got a hankering to play with one of them or at a pinch a LH bolt rifle. Or an Encore or Contender frame?
