Description:
Increasingly hard to find is this British SMLE No. 4 .303 rear aperture sight in near new condition. These sights were usually made under contract by the "SINGER Sewing Machine Company" during WW2. These sights are screw-wind adjustable for elevation and are graduated from 200 to 1,300 yards.
Windage adjustment was achieved by sliding the front sight blade sideways.
Absolutely clean and tidy, rust-free condition.
No other fittings on hand at present, sorry!
NB. No. 5 "jungle carbine" rear sights were only graduated to 800 yards.
