History-
These firearms were produced by the same company in the town of Suhl, Germany in the 1930’s (there is no such thing as a brand/make or model called Suhl, there is a slang term for a scope mount called a “Suhl mount” due to how the scopes were mounted), the Simson family are known for high quality as they built copies of the Mauser Gewehr 98 through World War 1 and were one of the few that were permitted to continue firearm work after World War 1 in Germany, the Simson family fled Germany in 1936 and the company was taken over by the government hence the companies name change from Simson & Co to BSW, the Simson is basically a series 1 and the BSW is basically a series 2 training rifle for the youth. These are not converted rifles to hornet they are genuine 22 hornet, these rifles are not perfect but are in excellent condition considering as it is highly likely they saw action during the end stages of World War 2 as well. These are uncommon rifles in Australia, they are genuine 22 hornet (stamped), I am only selling as I haven’t used them in years and I’m using much bigger calibres these days as a preference, they are taking up space so they have to go unfortunately ,
Sale conditions-
They will be sold as a pair only and will not separate them so do not ask, I have had them valued already by a dealer, the price is not $1234.00 and its make a serious offer (do not expect these for a few hundred dollars), don’t ask how much I am chasing for them as I will not respond, if the advert is up then they are still available, its plus postage and transfers to your choice of dealer to VIC, SA, NT, QLD, NSW, ACT.
