Solid steel, professional quality, gunsmith's barrel vice & action wrench set .... including comprehensive instructions.

Kit includes a solid timber transportation box, two blank/pilot-bored aluminium alloy barrel collets, & instructions for proper setting up & use. These tools will satisfy any serious amateur or professional smith.

Designed & tested to work for any common sporting barrel/action but will require additional accessories to firmly hold some of the more awkwardly shaped receivers that come along from time to time.

Solid steel construction has proven strong & rugged. Mine has seen daily use for 28 years without issues. Designed to manage lever-action & single shot rifles just as well as bolt actions.

NB. A very strong & solid mounting surface is mandatory for locating this vice; along with adequate clearance always needed to easily rotate the action wrench. Providing sufficient room for handling the longest barrel you ever intend to clamp in the vice is an obvious necessity too. When initially considering this point, some careful thought might also be given as to whether you may ever need to unscrew a breechplug from a very long muzzleloader barrel also.

The vice's bolts & deep nuts are 1" UNF. The wrench's bolts are 1/2" UNF.

NB. Blank aluminium barrel collets require boring out to final size and full/partial splitting lengthwise, depending whether the barrel has open sights fitted, or not.
