Sportco Australia Model 40 .22LR Single Shot with Nikko Stirling Scope.

A reluctant "Sophie's Choice" sale of a collectible piece of Australian Manufacturing history.
This is a Sportco Model 40 single shot .22 Rifle topped with a Nikko Stirling Mountmaster 4x32 scope in modified Talley rings.
The rifle presents very well, apart from a couple of fixable storage scratches to the stock, & a mystery rub to the blueing just behind the rear iron sight.
There is also a previous owners driver's licence number etched to the bottom of the pistol grip. - All these things could be sanded out or cold blued as applicable.
The blueing, bore & stock are otherwise in overall outstandingly good condition.
I have not had the opportunity to use this rifle for years, & I reckon it belongs with a collector/user of Aussie good things.
With a small amount of love, this rifle would be classed as excellent.
Given the relatively low price, it would be preferable to sell this rifle in Adelaide or near surrounds, but I can organise postage & dealer fees at my end for $70.00.
