Beautiful SMLE 303 Sporter.
Put together by Rob Spittles of Mudgee and is very accurate. Loves 41 grains of AR2208 with a 150 grain Barnes TSX projectile.
Proper coachwood sporting butt, NOS Lithgow barrel (absolutely mint) that fired 17 rounds over 15 years, magazine cut down to 5 rounds Parker Hale style, beautiful deep blueing, rubber butt pad, Ausinel bridge mount and rings.
Hits Sambar like a tonne of bricks with moderate recoil. Very easy rifle to shoot accurately.
It was my Sambar rifle and has a couple of marks on the stock from being carried in the mountains of Victoria. Two small scratches on the barrel at the muzzle. The forewood has two dowel plugs to hide the military sling swivel holes.
Great rifle that has accounted for seven Sambar and has never lost an animal.
Also have 83 Barnes TSX projectiles. One box of 50 is unopened, while the other box contains 33 projectiles including 9 that I pulled because the rifle is for sale. Projectiles for sale at $85 plus post.
