Martini Enfield Cavalry Carbine

NSW issued Martini Enfield Cavalry Carbine.

Receiver originally made in 1872, converted to .303 in 1896. Internals and breach block in very good condition, has been stripped down, cleaned and lubricated in the past. Function checked with an empty .303 case and it ejects perfectly. Wood work in good condition. Barrel however, is rusted out after the first 3-5 inches of rifling, would not consider firing it in this condition. Initially acquired with the intention to restore it, but no longer have the time for such projects.

Would be an excellent candidate for a re barrel, the basis for custom single shot sporter, or as a parts donor to keep another martini enfield running.
