Description:

These 303/25 Sporters are interesting rifles. They come in all sorts of configurations. Great old collectors rifles.
This particular rifle started its life as a BSA No. 1 Rifle. These rifles were used used first in the Boer War and then early WW1.

When they turned them into cut down Sporters they took off all surplus bit and pieces. The original Volley site was removed and the mag cut off piece was also removed.

These rifles have a bit of a historical significance in Australia as farmers used them in this calibre for all types of game. Very fast .25 bullet propelled using .303 brass.

The appeal of this rifle is that it can still be shot and it has the great looking No. 1 Bolt.
This rifle has an old but good telescopic sight with Black Howk written on the scope but Id say its an older Japanese scope from the 1970s.
No rust and the wood, although modified, is in good condition.
