Description:
This rifle is a genuine excellent example of an original military M96 Swedish Mauser Long Rifle, manufactured by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori (dated 1912), and is in Armory Grade Condition.
I purchased the rifle for my military collection in February 1995, from Lawrance Ordnance Sydney, with the rifle being promoted as suitable for Armory Grade Collection. As such, the rifle has complete matching numbers, excellent metal work and timber stock, and excellent barrel with corresponding original brass bore inspection disk.
During my period of ownership, the rifle has never been fired, only maintained on a regular basis.
Should the rifle be sold locally, 60 rounds of military surplus ammo (still in original packets), will be included in the sale.
