This Smith & Wesson Model 17-6 with a 4-inch Bull barrel is uncommon and scarcer than the standard 6-inch version. Because S&W primarily produced the 4-inch .22 LR K-frame as the tapered-barrel Model 18 (Combat Masterpiece), a true 4-inch heavy-barrel Model 17 (like the later 17-6) was manufactured in much lower numbers, making it a sought-after variation for collectors, Know as the three T’s – Target Hammer, Target Trigger & Target Grips this is indeed a beautifully presented Revolver.
.22 LR cal.; 6 shot fluted cylinder; 4" (103m/m) Bull barrel with vg cond. bright bore & crisp rifling; original blued finish to metalwork presents well exc. #BEB0091
