Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I US Made Lend-Lease
Lee-Enfield No.4 MkI*
Between 1941 and 1944, the Savage company in the US manufactured Lee-Enfield rifles at their Chicopee Falls plant in Massachusetts. These rifles were used to equip British and Commonwealth forces during the Second World War. They are all marked 'US Property' on the receiver, indicating that, technically, they still belong to the US.
This particular No.4 MkI* is in near perfect, unissued and unfired condition, and has both the US and New Zealand markings. Its condition would tend to indicate that it was shipped to New Zealand as part of the Lend-Lease agreement, towards the end of the war, making it a rare and desirable rifle for any serious collector.
Shipping included to nominated dealer within mainland Australia.
