Antique Tube Scope- Mosberg 2 3/4 X

Delightful old brass O.F. Mossberg 3/4" small rifle scope, fitted to Mossberg #9 patent flat mount base.
Would look right at home on Win Low Wall or Stevens, Remington falling blocks with octagonal barrel, or even early Marlins in pistol cals.
Micrometer style external adjustments move freely and have very positive click adjustments. Lenses need polishing, a few tiny spots of degradation, may be mold, but tiny. Fine cross wire reticule clean and devoid of rust etc.

I wont take it apart to polish the lenses, and suggest buyer sends it to "Optical Restorers" in Brisbane who has done wonderful work on Lyman Targetspots, Zeiss Zeilviers etc and similar for me in the past. Its very easy to break the fine cross hairs on the reticule then you are in trouble.

These are painted, enamel, as brass wont take blue.
Mount base steel, some superficial surface rust ..polish and blue.
Sturdy heavy little scope that has lasted many many decades, deserving of a new life with young shooter and good eyes.
