Description:
1943 Lithgow Lee Enfield No1 MkIII* in .303 British
Barrel is good and shoots straight. Stock is a bit rough with the sort of marks you'd see on a service rifle but is in original condition. Small scratch on the nose cap from when I tried to removed a stripped screw (the screw was just replaced).
Numbers are not completely matching. Gun appears to have been arsenal refurbished as the bolt serial number has been stamped onto the gun just behind the stripper clip guide and is different from the serial number at the front of the receiver.
Should be a good example of a wartime Lithgow Lee Enfield.
