On sale offer is a used (old new stock) Browning BLR Scout Weaver Picatinny Rail - Takedown Short Action #12327 mount.

The scout style Weaver picatinny mount is particularly suited to the use of red dot optics (eg Aimpoint H1 Micro Sight or equivalent) - a red dot optic sight is usually mounted on a Browning BLR takedown forward over the barrel onto the Weaver picatinny rail (the iron sites are removed). This model #12327 mount has been long discontinued by the manufacturer and are very difficult to source in Australia. The mount has never been used and comes with three mounting threaded screw/bolt fixtures. A locating pin fixed in the mount base occupies one of the four bolt fixture holes already pre-drilled into the barrel to secure the fitting of the mount using the iron site holes. ie. why the mount is only supplied with 3 threaded screw/bolt fixtures.

The mount is in perfect condition and is probably over 20+ years old attested by the condition of the original manufacturer box . Refer photos.

My measurements with a metric caliper indicate the two closest forward mount holes are 39mm apart (between hole centres) and the distance from the pin to the furthest hole is 84mm apart (between pin and hole centres). This mount is probably only suited to the Short-Action takedown models of the Browning BLR. eg those chambered in .223 or .308WIN.

The 12327 model mount used to retail in Australia new for around $205 +pp.

The successful buyer can pick-up delivery in Kew East or alternatively have the mount posted to a recognised Australian address using AusPost Express service at an additional cost of $15.
