Beautiful Smith and Wesson Model 52 (no dash) chambered in .38 Special Wadcutter, comes with four magazines.
This classic, first release of the Model 52 has a rare Double-Action lock out feature. It uses a factory, frame mounted setscrew that allows the gun to be shot in single-action or double-action depending on the adjustment. For eg. the screw can be let out for shooting Centrefire in SA. and screwed in to release DA.
I've updated the old recoil spring and magazine springs with Wolff replacements (originals also supplied).
The mags. are cut for six rounds but only reliably feed with five rounds (as originally designed for five). Unlike 9 mm and 38 Super, the lip on the 38 Special round reduces the feed angle with each round loaded. At six rounds the mag. needs a bump to correct the feed alignment.
The traditional load is a full wc, hollow base 148 g with medium velocity. Any of the pictured rounds will function, ranging from semi wc 100g to the 148g full wc.
