While the original production run continued until 1873, such was the models eduring popularity that it was reproduced by Colt as a second generation model for seven years between 1971 and 1978.
This magnificent handgun features original engraving, Colt's Patent Address and silver embellishments to the frame. It is in pristine condition having never been fired and comes cased with original Colt accessories including brass capping tool, embossed copper powder flask, silver primer case and .36 cal bullet mould.
