Anschutz 54.18 Repeater Competition Rifle

This is not a glorified hunting rifle. The 54.18 Repeater is essentially the 1913 match action, that has been modified at the Anschutz factory to be a repeater rifle. It filled the dual roles of both a basis for the Rifle Metallic Silhouette and Biathlon events, until the Fortner action was developed specifically for Biathlon.

Demand from silhouette competitors was low due to the costs involved with low production runs. It is fitted with the famous 5018 competition trigger group.

This rifle began as an action and trigger group import into Australia in the early 1990's, by one of Australia's leading and pioneering SSAA target shooters.

It was equipped with a medium weight fluted stainless steel Shilen select match barrel, 26.5" or 675mm long, with tight match chamber.

The barreled action is currently fitted to a current production model 1913 Super Match BR stock. It has been professionally modified to accept the 54.18 magazine assembly.

Stock has been modified so that the 3" fore end can be removed, making the rifle legal (in both weight and dimensions) for multiple SSAA rimfire events including IRB, Field Rifle and Metallic Silhouette. It will go sub 4.0kg when fitted with a 6.5-20×40 Leupold EFR in alloy mounts.

This rifle is extremely rare and highly desirable. Anschutz stopped making this model in 2009 and very few were ever sold into Australia. A better example will be difficult to locate in today's market, especially with this pedigree and discipline versatility and flexibility.

Rifle will come with 1 x genuine Anschutz 10 shot magazine and 1 x genuine Anschutz 5 shot extended Biathlon magazine (pictured in rifle, with red base). It will accept all Anschutz magazines designed for 54 and 64 series rifles (1416, 1712 etc).
