RARE BRAENDLIN-ALBINI 1867 28G SHOTGUN

Description:

One of 500 Braendlin - Albini firearms purchased in 1867 by the South Australian Gov't. This example is one of a few that were re-barreled to 28G shotgun.
The butt plate is stamped with a Crown, SA and 1369 ( S.A. Gov't store number).
The top of the Action is stamped: Braendlin-Albini Patent No. 2559.
The top of the barrel is stamped: H. Holland, 88 New Bond Street.
The right side of the receiver is stamped 1867.
The action and timber is in good condition for their age, unfortunately the barrel is pitted.
