Description:
This rifle was manufactured at the Lithgow Small Arms Factory in 1941. It is not stamped FTR that I can find but was back later at Lithgow SMA I believe for replacing the original barrel with the heavy barrel stamped H. It is fitted with a collectable LANE side plate and LANE CENTRAL PEEP sight. The original Butt Stock and Butt Plate was refurbished and the upper and lower forewoods replaced with wood bought from Lithgow Replica Firearms of Brisbane who milled it this year from Australian Coachwood. It has very definite first and second trigger pressures that are not overly hard making for very smooth firing. A very good looking rifle that shoots well. Serious offers will be considered.
