Type 38 Arisaka
Nagoya Arsenal 27 Series produced around 1935 - 1942, before production switched to the type 99
a very good example from my collection.
Mum still there but has been stamped over. Numbers on receiver and front band match. Bolt looks to match itself.
Bore is very good and shiny, a nice change since most dont survive the humid conditions in the tropics.
timberwork shows battle scars but each tells a story, and the metalwork still has its patina on it.
