Description:
This Karabiner 98k (K98) was made by the actual Mauser factory (Obendorf) in 1938 as identified by 42 being stamped on the receiver ring with 1938 being the year of manufacture. It is covered in Waffenamts & eagle firing proof in all the right places. It displays the standard Waffenamt proofs & single firing proof on the barrel & receiver, with “Mod. 98” marked on the receiver wall. There is an asterix stamped at the top left hand side of the receiver wall (likely a Russian Capture).
This rifles bluing, barrel and stock are in very good condition. Bolt, barrel, receiver and stock have matching numbers (barrel band differs).
Am selling as I am not using as i had hoped to and would like to make room in the safe a new rifle.
