I have used this scope on three hunts successfully. Managing the IR light is key with IR scopes. No IR light is needed moonlit nights it works like a day scope, some IR light will give you eye shine [ prefect for head shots] I have added an external IR torch that gives a quick adjustment to the IR light [ light wash out is not your friend] this is cheap way to dip your toe into night hunting.
