Description:
W. H. Hazard immigrated to New Zealand from the UK in the mid 1800's and established a "Gun and Fishing Tackle Manufacturer" business at 176 Queen Street, Auckland. The business imported firearms from the UK manufactured by an unknown Birmingham factory with the Hazard brand name, "Hazards Game Keeper", Hazards Rabbiter" and one other, a single I think.
The business continued when he passed away in 1899, sometime later the family business moved into a boating business. This gun has seen little use and the previous owner stated that it had been in a private collection for 30 years. It's been in my safe for about 5. Bores are bright and shiny, outside appearance is excellent, some safe marks. Lovely gun, 2 1/2 inch chambers, 30 inch steel barrels, Length of pull 14 inch. $650 includes transfers within NSW.
