Description:

Up for sale is my 1941 Portuguese contract K98k Mauser in 8x57 made by Mauser themselves . These are some of the best made K98k’s on the market as they were an export commercial contact for Portugal from the Mauser Oberndorff factory. Many of these rifles never made it to Portugal and were diverted to the front line due to Germany’s deteriorating war situation and have been mismatched and damaged.

This rifle is one of the H blocks of guns and has made it to this present day in very good condition. All parts of the rifle are matching including the unused bayonet and scabbard. There are some minor scratches and handling marks consistent with the gun being rack stored unused for many years, and I would say apart from test firing at the factory this gun has not be shot or issued.

All of Mauser/German period markings are sharp and intact on both the metal work and the walnut wood, including the nice Mauser Obernforff roll marking along the receiver and the Portuguese coat of arms (some minor bluing loss on this area). The gun is also complete with the issued sling and cleaning rod.

I am asking $6599 including shipping to you dealer (excluding WA) and have a dropbox link with high resolution photos (see link below if this ad allows)

This version of the K98k is getting harder to find and this is a regretful sale but bills need to be paid.
