K98 Israeli Mauser (Czech Brno)

Description:

Israeli Mauser K98 (Czech Brno) with a rampant lion on receiver and a small lion on left hand side of receiver. This is rare with two lions on the receiver. Serial number and two digit numbers on the bolt are matching (98).
Made by German Waffenwerke Bruenn AG factory in Brno. Has a lower case letter (a) after the serial number which means it was an original German K98.
The receiver has been machined buffed by the Czechs to remove German Waffenamt proof marks on the action. This was replaced by the Czech Lions. It was converted to 7.62 by the Israeli program in 8/57.
The rifle has been drilled and tapped for mounts, bolt handle has been
modified and polished by gunsmith before I acquired it 20 years ago.
Rifle bore, chamber, woodwork and bluing very good to excellent used condition. It is a very accurate rifle.
Also included - 100 x 7.62x51 (308) once fired brass cases sized, pin tumbled and polished. 150 x 165 grn RN FP extra hard cast custom projectiles.
