Description:
Belgium made Browning semi-automatic takedown model .22LR. Fitted with home-modified stock (model like the current model). I was not a fan of the tiny little fore-end and the original stock had no cheek weld, but is a lovely piece of timber.
Comes with the original timber as well. Has been modified to install a Picatinny rail on the barrel. Comes with the original site as well.
Mounted with a basic 2 - 7 x 32 scope with long eye relief (actually a bit too long even for this). Ideally should have a red-dot or back to open sights. It works, but it's not ideal.
Tube feed 7 round magazine in the stock. Original port in the top of the stock, modified stock has the port on the left side. Spring-loaded rod to push the rounds into the receiver opens from the butt plate. See image of disassembled version (from the web, not this one) to see how simple this design is and how the rod pushes the rounds into the receiver.
Lovely simple design, basically unchanged in 100 years! Does eject the spend shells straight down, so wear long sleeves when shooting :)
Works well. Need to clear some space in my gun safe.
