Description:
Pictured here are four (4) brass oil bottles.
There is a very wide variation in weight for these bottles despite them looking almost the same.
The lefthand pair were originally issued with Lithgow SMLE .303 service rifles. They weigh about 1.85 oz. each, empty.
One is a mixture of "MA" (Lithgow) and "OA" (Orange) parts, while the second is all "MA" parts. Both feature straight, striated knurled caps.
The righthand pair were issued with U.S. made Enfield P'14 or M'17 rifles.
The left one weighs 2.6 oz. whereas the righthand "monster" weighs a whopping 4.1 oz., empty.
They both feature diamond knurled caps and a complete absence of manufacturer's marks.
My asking prices INCLUDE insured postage to all Eastern & Central Australian states. No trade to W.A..
