Diana 75 Match Air Rifle

The Diana 75 match air rifle was marketed under many different names as DianaWerk did not at various times after World War2 have the rights to using the Diana name outside of Europe( Condor, Original, RWS,Beeman, Gecado). The Condor name was used in Canada, although that is from an internet posting. This is the last model of spring powered side-lever recoiless air rifle produced by Diana(from 1982). It utilises the Giss twin opposed pistons system where the pistons cancel each other out and provide a vibration free discharge. Compressed air is now used to produce the same effect. However it is useful if your club does not have a compressor or a tank and is a far less costly way of getting into air-rifle. These will basically put any number of pellets into one ragged hole at 10 metres(essentially Olympic standard). As with most of these things, it is the shooter who is the limitation. This particular example has had a thorough refurbishment. New synthetic seals have been installed. The Giss system has been balanced and retimed. The original stock has been replaced by a better figured factory stock in the same configuration with the raised cheekpiece, three slot forend and butt plate cast to the left to have a closer fit. The trigger is adjustable for length, swivel and offset. The loading chamber has a solid floor so pellets can’t be lost in the mechanism. The match sights are original with the front sight on a plastic shroud which also protects the barrel and is fitted with a transparent insert. The rear sight shows a small loss of black around the elevation knob. Otherwise all the blueing on the metalwork is in very good condition. The sight dovetail will allow scope mounting easily.
