Description:
If you like old shotguns or want something a bit fancy but very shoot-able then take a look at this lovely old shotgun.
This gunmaker is the oldest English gun maker form around 1770 still making shotguns. I think this gun is from around the 1920s. Not so common 'Pistol Grip" which enhances the style of the shotgun.
If you look up these Cogswell and Harrison or "Goggies" you can see that most go for around or over 1000 English pounds. This box lock model has rare game scenes on each side. These and the complete decorations are hand engraved. not made by a machine. The case colours are still visible.
The checkering is still very strong. The blueing is worn but there is no pitting, just worn off blueing along the barrels which can be redone.
Comes in a case with oil bottle and wooden rods with cleaning ends.
30 ' barrels but I'm not sure of the choke size.
All in all, its a nice shotgun that is very usable and will clean up very well. It has a lot of classic style and comes from a tier two gunmaker which gives it its value. Worth adding to your collection and using in the field.
