Description:
In very good condition, excellent wood. This rifle has history.
Issued to AIF in WW1 (June 1916) by DoD. Decommissioned then recommissioned for WW2 by the Australian Army. Many markings on receiver and barrel. Underside of stock has no%. 21 (Btn.?) engraved along it. The 21st was a famous unit involved in many WW1 major actions.
Used in competitions sparingly and very accurate. Got my Bronze medal with this one. Good bore and distinct lans throughout with current Serviceability Certificate.
Also comes with a matching 1903 pattern Wiltshire 1916 bayonet and scabbard to match,
It's an accurate rifle for military comps or a collector's piece.
Reluctant sale due to failing eyesight.
