Safe clear out and this is one that needs to go. For some history, this rifle started out as a truck gun for another shooter, and when I purchased it, it was covered in surface rust as it's previous owner clearly wasn't maintaining the finish. Long story short, I've personally sandblasted and re-coated this firearm with a black oxide finish, and given it the full clean treatment. There is now no rust to speak of. The lands are still sharp and no signs of pitting or any real wear to speak of (it's probably only done a few thousand rounds in it's lifetime so it's what I'd expect).
Selling at listed price as this sort of thing obviously doesn't command a high-price. I hope it's new owner will treat it with the same care that I have.
What have I done to this gun:
- Sandblasted, cleaned, and re-coated the barrel & action with black oxide. It's tough, but not indestructible. Holds oil better than bluing.
- Bolt has had ceramic coating applied to it since it's a wear area. Properly baked, hence the patina on the bolt.
- Full clean and lube of all moving parts where necessary.
- Bore scrubbed clean. Don't expect full accuracy until a handful of shots in.
