Bought this for my son but he didnt take to hunting and so its been a safe queen, some info below:
The Marlin Model 983 is chambered in .22WMR (.22 Magnum) and feeds from a fixed tube magazine and has a 12 round capacity. Rounds are loaded into the magazine tube by removing the brass inner magazine tube and loading rounds nose-up through the loading port cut into the bottom of the steel outer magazine tube.
Shoots well have nearly a full box of ammo if local as it wasn't used much.
