German Mauser kreigsmodell kar98k
Known as a LAST DITCH rifle
as it was rushed into production as the third Reich was collaposing around all around Germany.
Rifle has had many parts simplified and done away with to get rifles out the door. Quality of the finish leaves much to be desired, but the quality of the weapon was never compromised, so safe to shoot, even 80 years on!
MOD.95 BYF45 stamped, meaning it was made in Mauser Oberndorf in early 1945.
Features the following Full Kreigsmodell simplifactions
- unfinished metal in phosphate and blued (no time to tidy up maching!)
- No take down disk (just a hole in the buttstock)
- rough woodwork (whatever was on hand!)
- Front bands (stamped and bent metal, welded and screwd into place instead of spring keeper)
- No bayonet lug (no time for that!)
- Stamped floorplate with single screws only (no need for special screws)
Comes with sling that has definelty seen the test of time
Metal work is in good condition considering its nature.
Bore is shiny with strong defined rifling.
Matching numbers on receiver and bolt
Will include ammo if picking up
Requires a correct floor plate and front cap and it would be complete!
A safe queen that definetly turns heads and has been a collectors piece in the collection!
