Description:
For sale is my Smith & Wesson Model 1500 in 22.250 caliber. It is fitted with a Leupold VXII 3-9 x40. I replaced the previous scope which was a Kahles 8x56, other wise it would have been too expensive. Who ever purchases this firearm ought to upgrade the scope in due course. I have owned this rifle, having purchased it new, from the late Rolly Muscat, gun smith extraordinaire, and a good mate. These were the S&W firearms, made by Howa, before they were marketed as Howa, so it has a lot of history, and becoming rarer.
This firearm is extremely accurate, I took out 5 pigs walking in a chain in Walgett some years ago, at East Mullane. Starting rear most first. Needless to say I have not fired many round out of it, no more than 50.
Now it’s not a hunting rifle, it’s a bull barrel, and more suited to range work.
From this description you can tell I have a lot of history with this firearm, but the evils of terrorism have long tentacles!
