This Merkel 200E dates from the early post-war Suhl period. These early 200E models are very rare in Australia, with relatively few imported, and even fewer remaining in original, honest condition.

The shotgun wears a beautifully figured walnut stock with hand checkering, showing only genuine handling marks consistent with age. It has been in the same family since the 1960s, carefully looked after.
