Description:
1966 Sako L461 Vixen .222 Sporter. Bofors Steel marked barrel, Australian bolt, ‘S’ release on floor plate, ‘Micro Groove’ 12 land bore in good condition. Perfect bolt face. Has been bedded and floated, trigger has been lightened by gunsmith and is approx. 10ozs without any problems. Have copies of the Sako factory records from 1966. I had it re-blued about 13 years ago by The Gunsmiths at Sefton and they did a beautiful job, it came back with deep lustrous blueing just like a Deluxe (which is hard to photograph). Shoots very well, esp. with hand-loads (55gn Sierra Blitz Kings), see photo of target at 100m, it throws the first shot from a super-clean cold barrel slightly wide (as do most rifles) then it’s spot on from that. Hand-loading data supplied to buyer.
Scope not included. Mounts not included but can be purchased for extra cost. Currently fitted with Burris bases and Burris Signature rings with the plastic inserts to protect the scope. I have a lot of other Sako mounts and various scopes, which I’m wanting to sell.
60 rounds of Federal 50gn Power-Shok ammunition to go with this rifle (pick up only from dealer).

210x Remington cases. These are batched in how many times they have been fired. They have been annealed each time with an AMP annealer so the cases will last many reloads. They have been full length trimmed, mouths chamfered, primer pockets uniformed, flash holes de-burred.
38x Federal cases, once fired, nil case preparation.
Lee full length trimmer, lock stud and case holder (easy to use in a drill)
RCBS Competition series Full Length re-sizing die and bullet seater with micrometer adjusting head.
LE Wilson Neck Sizing die (no bush’s included, details given to buyer). You don’t need a press with these, just a small soft mallet or lump of wood.
