2023 CAN AM COMMANDER XT 1000R

This was my ‘retirement present project’ to myself. The opportunity to create a vehicle that could be used solo or with 2 mates, for our planned outback adventures, plus have a trailer that could transport the SXS and any additional equipment. You will see from the list of extras on the SXS and trailer that it was a task taken serious. These are all extras beyond the impressive list of manufacturer’s inclusions. It has also had its required service at Lake and Valley Motorsports and under warranty till 30/6/26 and only 292 km on the odometer.

While the project is incomplete, there is opportunity for its next owner to still personalise it. I had several more additions planned and happy to share what they were if asked. For what it’s worth I also used the Garmin Overlander GPS for navigation. It’s a brilliant unit, albeit large, that was secured via their suction cup onto the dash. You may not need one or use a smaller unit.

Please note the FRYSTIK spotlight control currently in the roof used for the power beam will be removed and the hole covered. Will leave the added structure in case another control is required.

There is some light surface corrosion that has been treated from living close to the beach, even though it has been under cover when it’s here. In case you are curious it has absolutely not been on Stockton beach as much as I wish it had been! In spite of what “AI” says they are not allowed on the beach even if I had RMS conditional rego. The council rangers, police and the Woromi folk are constantly monitoring the area and ‘stinging’ the uniformed and foolish.

The 292 km are genuine too. This deserves to make adventures not just be prepped for them.
