US Property 303 Savage No4 Serial number 54c6674

I am looking for my father’s rifle. It is a Savage 303 serial number 54C6674. It was traded in at a gun shop in western Melbourne in the late 90’s early 2000’s back then in mint condition.
It has a unique blonde wood colour and had U S Property stamped on it. I am not sure if if was 1 or 1* or a 2z Long story short it was reluctantly traded under stressful circumstances- if it is still in circulation I would like the opportunity to be reunited with it- there is a story behind the ownership of this of rifle and to my knowledge my father was its first civilian owner.
