Stunning and Classic 303, Australian made Imported from the UK via EFD Rifles (efdrifles.com).
Wonderful condition Lithgow MKIII 1916 dated with the rarely seen original early war specifications being - 1 - complete and original front and rear volley sights, 2 - rear main sight windage wheel and 3 - magazine cut-off.
A very rare Lithgow with all the hard to find combinations. Comes with a Lithgow 1917 bayonet with teardrop sheath.
All proof marks are easily distinguished with the steel works being in great nick considering age. Wood has a stunning patina to it with only a few very small bruises.
Only minor isolated pitting to the magazine.
Was fitted with a high velocity barrel in 1945 as per the butt markings during a FTR at Lithgow SAF.
